Telegu film actress Seema / Jaya Lakshmi and her mother Aadi Lakshmi were arrested by the taskforce police in Tarnaka along with two other girls from Mumbai on a charge of running a brothel. The 26 year old Seema was living in Mumbai when SV Krishna Reddy introduced her as the heroine in his Sakutumba Saparivara Samethamga film. Seema / Jaya Lakshmi has appeared in Kumkuma, Ayudham, Adhipati and Madhumasam. As well as prostituting herself, she also employed other sex workers at a cost of Rs. 30,000/- each per week from Mumbai in her brothel. Aadi Lakshmi tempted her daughter Seema into prostitution in order to make more money. She also hired two other girls - Samreen aged 18 and Roshni aged 20 - from a whorehouse in Mumbai and used them in the business. She promised to pay them 30,000 rupees per week and was collecting ten to twenty thousand rupees per head.
